Dolly Parton has revealed she’s in talks with Playboy to pose for the iconic magazine in celebration of her 75th birthday.
The ‘Joelene’ singer, who turns 75 in January 2021, posed for the cover of the October issue back in 1978 — more than 40 years ago.
Speaking on the Scott Mills & Chris Stark Show on BBC Radio 5 on Saturday, the country singer said she would be happy to feature in the magazine again.
“I just might do it. If I can do it in good taste and they want it, we’ll do it along with a really good interview inside. So, yeah, it’s possible. Yep, we’ve talked about it,” she said.
In her recent interview with Nine’s 60 Minutes, Parton said she wasn’t ready to retire any time soon and planned “to be on the cover of Playboy magazine again!”
“I thought it would be such a hoot,” she told reporter Tom Steinfort. “If they’ll go for it. I don’t know if they will.”
Parton’s interview on the Scott Mills & Chris Stark Show followed the release of her most recent album A Holly Dolly Christmas, which is her third Christmas album.
The legendary ‘9 to 5’ singer is also set to appear in the Netflix original musical Christmas on the Square, based on her song of the same name.
Christine Baranski, Jenifer Lewis, Treat Williams, Josh Segarra and Jeanine Mason will also appear in the film.
