The Spanish model, 44, paid tribute to her husband of 10 years in a belated Father’s Day post via Instagram on Tuesday.
“A little late, but happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads out there. specially to this one @chrishemsworth,” Pataky captioned the post.
The image shows the Thor star in the bath with one of his children, both covered in soapy bubbles.
Hemsworth, 37, and Pataky have three kids together: daughter India, eight, and twins Tristan and Sasha, six.
In a recent interview with GQ Australia, the actor opened up about about how difficult it’s been in the past to leave his three children when he has to work.
“Every job I’d take, every time I’d go off on these extended trips, it got harder and harder,” he said of leaving his children to film movies.
“For a little while you don’t think the kids notice and then you realise they do. I absolutely want to continue to make films that I’m proud of, but that can also wait. Now what’s more important is my kids are at an age I don’t want to miss. And I’d hate to look back in 20 years and go, ‘Right, let’s get to work as a parent’ and I’ve missed it all.”
Hemsworth was named the second highest-paid actor in 2019 according to Forbes, earning a whopping US$76.4 million (approx. $106 million). Despite a range of Hollywood credits in films like Thor, The Avengers, and Snow White and The Huntsman, the actor revealed that his three young children keep him grounded.
“I get a kick out of it when they actually enjoy my movies. But there’s also an equal share of eye-rolls — I couldn’t be less cool in their eyes,” he joked. “It’s nature’s way of telling me the truth. You can fall into a false sense of self-importance on a film set, where you feel you’re special, so it’s good to remind yourself that it’s not the case. And kids certainly drive that home.”
